I came from a dysfunctional family with a
lot of abuse and abandonment issues. I was never told I was loved and I
always had the feelings of inadequacy thinking something was wrong with
me. When I got to Touched By An Angel Ministries, I was broken after
being addicted to drugs & alcohol for over 19 years, losing
everything that meant anything to me. I accepted Jesus Christ into my
heart and now I walk in the newness of life. II Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new." After being here for 14
months, I have a personal relationship with Christ and a foundation
built on the Word. I Corinthians
3:11 "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ." My children, who I didn't raise, are back in my life and
my grand children. I've had the opportunity to go to college for my
Associate Degree in Human Resources. Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first
the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be
added unto you." I want to tell individuals out there who are
struggling with life's struggles that Jesus loves you and He's just
waiting on you to invite him in to your heart.

Before coming to Touched by an Angel Ministries, I was
severely addicted to prescription narcotics, cocaine, alcohol and sin. I had
used and abused all of my friends and family, lost my children and didn’t
recognize myself. I arrived at Touched
by an Angel on September 29, 2010, since giving my life over to God; I have
been reunified with my children and my family, I am drug-free and have been for
over a year, I have new found confidence in myself and most importantly a
relationship with the Lord. I have
learned to trust people (and they now
trust me), I have learned how to love myself and others regardless of outward
appearance and above all, I have learned the Word of God which protects me from
enemies of all sorts. My best advice for
those seeking change would be, if your life seems to be stuck in the vicious
cycle of ups and downs and all around, get off of the roller coaster of worldly
life and get on board eternity train with Jesus as your driver and a
destination of eternal life in heaven.

I came to Florida about 2 years ago, staying at various shelters before I cam to Touched By An Angel Ministries. I am a retired Navy veteran and I have always had God in my life. I was a Deacon for 2-3 years when I lived in California. Situations in my life got the best of me and I left God out of my life, followed by a divorce, losing my father and 2 houses. For that time in my life, I was lost and didn't think that God remembered me until I came to Touched By An Angel Ministries. I got here on January 22nd, 2011 and it has been a great experience and mind changing for me. Since I arrived, my belief in the Lord is much stronger. I currently attend Everest University, maintain a 3.0 GPA and I have the Lord in my life. That is what keeps me going. Since I have been here, I also have a special someone in my life and I hope to get married in February. I have learned so much that words can't express how I feel. My advice to others, "Believe in the power of the Word."

We arrived at Touched By An Angel Ministries on May 15, 2011. I was five months pregnant with my second daughter. My husband David and I were both addicts most of our lives, always moving from one place to another. We were never able to stay stable in one place. We tried treatment centers several times, both of us were on methadone and suboxone. Through the grace of God, He led us to Touched By An Angel Ministries and we have been clean since then. My husband has found the Lord and is currently volunteering for the ministry. We are so blessed and have peace in our hearts that we never thought was possible to have. We are so grateful for this ministry and all the families who are here. They are helping to save souls! That is the best gift anyone can secure.

I started smoking crack cocaine at 20 years old. By 23, I was a full blown crack head that led to multiple arrests. By the time I was 25, I had been trough treatment programs, which I didn't complete, two six month sentences in Pinellas County Jail and a 30 month sentence in prison. My evilness and wicked sins bound me to the world and all of it's devices. I had no clue how to change. This went on for 25 years total. In and out of jail and in and out of treatment. Nothing worked for me. I found myself in jail again but this time a Preacher named Pastor Peak came in to do a bible study and gave everyone the opportunity to change their lives when they got out, a clean sober environment. Touched By An Angel Ministries was that place. Pastors Jeffery and Vonda Polhill opened their hearts to me and the doors to their home to me. The thing they had to offer to me was God's Word. Those were my roots growing up and I turned away from them in my rebellious ways. Since coming to Touched By An Angel Ministries in January, 2008, Pastor Polhill ordained me to be a Reverend of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on February 7th, 2010. That was the second greatest day of my life. My first greatest day of my life was when I married my beautiful wife Ebony Edwards. To this day, we are apart of the growing ministry and are part of the administrative team. I encourage every family and single individual that want to change their life, come and join us as we give God all the glory for everything He does. We go into scripture and have communion together with our Lord and Savior. Ephesians 2:1 "And you, hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins." God is waiting for you at the door knocking. All you have to do is open the door of your heart and let him him (Revelation 3:20).
