INTRODUCTION: Touched By An Angel Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) interdenominational, faith-based homeless ministry located in the former Extended Stay Motel at 3491 62nd Avenue North, Pinellas Park. There are 42 apartment units on-site of which 25 units are used for emergency and transitional housing. Presently, we are accommodating homeless families with several adults and children. In addition, there are homeless men and women now residing here. In the past year, we have helped over 1,000 homeless people. Every day we are blessed with new people to help. WE NEED YOUR MONETARY SUPPORT TO HELP US CONTINUE TO KEEP THE HOMELESS OFF THE STREETS OF TAMPA BAY.
BACKGROUND: While Touched By An Angel Ministries has operated a homeless outreach ministry for the past seven years, it has been at the former Extended Stay Motel in Pinellas Park since May 2009. Managed by Pastors Jeff and Vonda Polhill, the ministry provides emergency and transitional housing and associated services in a safe, clean and wholesome environment that focuses on breaking the cycle of homelessness for individuals and families so that they may become functional and self-sustaining members of our community. IN THIS MANNER WE EFFECTIVELY KEEP THE HOMELESS OFF THE STREETS IN PINELLAS PARK.
MISSION: Provision of emergency and transitional housing for homeless persons is at the core of this Ministry. Whatever the problem may be, we help everyone in need aside from those with a serious criminal record. Our goal is to provide a peaceful place for people of all walks of life to live drug and alcohol free and to find a new life. Our main focus is to teach people the three most important things in life, dependability, accountability and responsibility. We focus on the children in this community by providing activities for their learning experience.
