_ Mission StatementTouched By An Angel Ministries, Inc. is an interdenominational non-profit ministry, committed to ending homelessness and helping take the gospel of Jesus Christ to women, children, and families of all walks of life. The Ministry helps Christians grow in their faith and share the Gospel message. Our goal is to reconcile the lost back to God, to help them live a drug and alcohol free life, and to give them an opportunity to find new life in Jesus Christ.

About UsTouched By An Angel Ministries, Inc. is located in the former Extended Stay Motel and accommodates individuals with hardships ranging from homelessness, substance abuse sufferers, mental health issues, and those with limited education. Onsite we have available emergency, transitional, and supportive housing. Subsequently, we are able to move people and families from chronic homelessness to a state where they are self-sustaining and living in a private pay independent apartment. Touched By An Angel Ministries Incorporated also refers individuals to local community agencies that provide assistance to their needs. Our vision is for Christians to grow toward maturity as believers of Christ by study of the Bible, prayer, and Christian fellowship where they come to know God's call and divine purpose for their lives.

These are the statistics just in Pinellas County

_ According to the Housing and Urban Development July 2008 3rd Homeless Assessment Report to Congress, in a single night in January 2007, HUD showed there were over 670,000 homeless people nationwide in the United States. HUD has reported the number of chronically homeless people (those with repeated episodes or who have been homeless for long periods, 2007 data) as over 120,000.From October 2006 to September 2007, over 1.5 million people used an emergency shelter and/or transitional housing during the 12-month period. That means that about 1 in every 200 persons in the United States was in a homeless facility in that time period. 70% of those were individuals without a family, and 30% of those were families. Over 6,235 homeless people in Pinellas County, 31% are under the age of 18.
